Our History

CAPCA was incorporated with the support of all Canadian provinces in 1999. This was the culmination of two decades of successful informal collaboration. The founding meeting of the CAPCA Board of Directors took place in October 1999. Dr. Don Carlow served as the first Chief Executive Officer.

Since our beginning, CAPCA has led critical pan-Canadian cancer control delivery and implementation strategy discussions.
