Evidence Brief: “Scaling and Sustaining Cancer Control Innovations to Improve Access and Strengthening of Oncology Workforce: Pan-Canadian Considerations.”

Innovation in cancer care cannot be considered independently of the workforce.

This was a key finding from Health Services & Policy Research examining innovations implemented in cancer care across Canada and internationally. These insights are highlighted in the evidence brief Scaling and Sustaining Cancer Control Innovations to Improve Access and Strengthening of Oncology Workforce: Pan-Canadian Considerations.

As cancer care systems across Canada continue to face escalating pressures related to oncology workforce capacity and sustainability, this evidence brief provides valuable insights to support decision-makers in identifying high-value innovations that are ready to scale nationally and that may help alleviate workforce pressures.

Thank you to the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer and Health Canada for their collaboration and financial support, and to Dalhousie University, BC Cancer, Simon Fraser University and CancerCare Manitoba for their research leadership.
