PET.2021.03.01 Positron Emission Tomography – Computed Tomography Self-Audit

CPQR and COMP are committed to supporting high-quality, safe radiotherapy in Canada. Since 2011, they have worked with the medical physics community to develop a suite of Technical Quality Control Guidelines to help radiotherapy centres ensure minimum performance and safety standards of treatment equipment and technologies. The full suite of TQC Guidelines is available online.

To help radiotherapy programs monitor their adherence to these guidelines, CPQR offers a set of self-audit tools.

The TQC for Positron Emission Tomography—Computed Tomography (PET/CT) guideline is available here. It is recommended that you have it available throughout the self-assessment.

After completing the audit and clicking “Done,” you will receive a certificate to print off and use.

Note: The tool only allows for one answer to be marked as correct. However, some alternate answers may still earn 1 point even if they appear incorrect.

For example:

  • Greater frequency = more frequent = 1 point.
  • Less tolerance = tighter tolerance = 1 point.

Answering N/A will not deduct points from your total score.

The list of tests included in the PET/CT Guideline describes tests that are to be done on a daily or weekly basis.

For each test, please indicate whether your program completes it as described and within the tolerance indicated.
