The pan-Canadian Quality Assurance in Radiopharmaceutical Therapy (pCQRT) advisory committee — one of CAPCA’s standing committees — recently met to set its upcoming priorities.
This marks the committee’s first multi-year work plan and outlines how pCQRT will help support safe, consistent, and patient-centred radiopharmaceutical therapy as this treatment area continues to grow.
The work plan is organized around three strategic directions:
- Collaboration and partnership: Building a shared network to exchange expertise and integrate diverse professional and patient perspectives into system-wide improvement.
- Person-centred care: Advancing approaches that improve patient safety, outcomes, equity, and experience, while recognizing the essential role of caregivers.
- Continuous quality improvement: Using benchmarking, best practices, and incident learning to drive improvement, and evaluating progress to ensure efforts deliver meaningful value.
These priorities reflect pCQRT’s commitment to improving quality and safety in radiopharmaceutical therapy and supporting its thoughtful integration as an emerging cancer treatment option. Learn more about pCQRT’s work here: https://capca.ca/our-work/radiopharmaceutical-quality-assurance/
